REVIEW
You will not find any platitudes in this book. To quote Larry Winget "If your life sucks, it's because you suck." I couldn't have said it better myself. Larry Winget calls himself the Pit bull of Personal Development. I think the Pit bull of Personal Responsibility is more like it.
This book should be read by people, leaders, and employees who are serious about wanting to succeed in the work force. Ultimately the author will help and guide you so you are in charge of your own success and overcome obstacles at work that are unnecessary, time consuming and only bring about frustration. Larry does an excellent job explaining why expectations are low, and standards are even lower. I guess it shouldn't be any surprise that the research shows that people only work about half the time while on the job. And the reason it goes unchecked is because every single person in the company is doing it - from the janitor to the CEO. Larry will keep you thoroughly entertained with his witty sense of humor while still underscoring the key complaints of why corporate America, customer service, sales people do less than average performance at work. Fortunately, for those who are lacking in work ethic skills, Larry has the answers for you in his book, without the spin. He focuses on the importance of "Results" in the workplace and getting things done in a timely fashion. Larry's book will help you take personal pride in what you do. He is brilliant in his delivery by breaking things into simple issues while still acknowledging that you don't have to love your job in order to do it well.
