Synopsis

When the cargo ship Baltic Venture is hijacked in the middle of the Baltic Sea, Russian warships in the Atlantic Ocean are assigned to take her back.  News reports of the hijacking inspire vending route driver Casey Shenk to post a blog suggesting that an illegal arms sale is involved.  He soon realizes his blog may be true when anonymous threats turn deadly.  With help from geoplolitical analyst Susan Williams of the Intelligence Watch Group, Casey discovers a much bigger plot involving three continents to shape world politics that will affect the balance of power in the Middle East and change the world forever.

"Open Source," based on factual military and political events, also aims to tackle tough topics such as the relationahip between the United States and Israel, the Islamic Republic of Iran and nuclear power, global terrorism and the motivation of suicide bombers.  It is peppered with recent historical events in the Middle East to lend both realism to the book and validation of the research conducted in order to create believable characters and a highly plausible storyline.
