Synopsis
When we accepted Christ into our hearts and asked him to forgive us of our sins of passion, we established a covenant with him through his blood. Christ came into our hearts and we no longer "sowed to the wind and reaped the whirlwind." God gave man a free will to determine his own behavior. He also established limitations for the good of man. When the limitations are violated, the conscious that exists in the heart and mind becomes a burden too great to bear. Then there are those who enter the darkness of sin because they no longer wish to fulfill God's will in their lives. They enter the darkness and feel God could not love them because they have been in the darkness too long. But God is saying, "I want to help you but I cannot unless you take hold of my hand." When we reject the will of God in our lives and live according to the passions of our hearts, the covenant with Christ is broken. God is a loving God. When we confess our sins, the covenant with Christ will be restored.

About the Author
Dr. Michael J. Plezbert began his life in Chicago in 1934. When he became 21 years old he enlisted in the military. He served as an Army Paratrooper for six years. While in the Army, Dr. Plezbert completed his first course, "God, Faith and Reason," through correspondence with Chicago University. He continued his formal education when he was discharged from the military. Dr. Plezbert has four accredited earned degrees: a B.S. in Psychology, M.S. in Guidance and Counseling, Ph.D. in Psychology, and a Dr. of Religious Studies. He retired in 1989 and decided to spend his remaining years writing about what he learned regarding human behavior and scriptures. Dr. Plezbert has over forty years experience helping those that have rejected the will of God in their lives and returned to the passions of the heart. He learned the psychological and emotional impacts guilt and shame can have upon a person. Guilt and shame are the dominant factors that prevent those that have fallen into sin from re-establishing the Covenant with Christ. He also learned that many persons deny the real reason for sinning. All his experience made him realize, more than anything else, the importance of confession and the healing power of God's forgiveness.
