Review
The Power of Giving:  How Giving Back Enriches Us All is an inspirational book that details the power each and every person has to make a difference.  Azim Jamal and Harvey McKinnon focus on two things in this book. First, they provide countless examples of people and organizations that have taken on projects that have had a positive impact on the world. Second, the book demonstrates the many different ways people can give back, either by volunteering, organizing, or making monetary donations.  You will find in this book, a lot of giving is not necessarily about money, but about giving your time, ideas, touch, and showing kindness for another human being.  Everyone has the ability to give something, regardless of age, availability, or income.

This is a book that should be required reading for all high school students. A reminder that each of us has some responsibility to make our world a better place. There are multiple ways to use your t
alent and dollars. This book is the stepping stone for that first leap.
