Title: Chosen: Chronicles of an Alien Abductee

Interviewed by: Gary Sorkin

Today we are talking to Byron Lacy, author of  “Chosen: Chronicles of an Alien Abductee.”

PBR: Good morning Byron. We are very pleased to have this opportunity to talk with you, and I personally am excited because based on your book, you are indeed a diplomat of the human race to the alien life forms which have, over the years, created what would be called a “relationship” with you. How do you view your connection?

BL: In 2009 when I first realized I was an alien abductee I went through a lot of mental and emotional confusion and turmoil. My entire picture of reality was turned upside down, and the main questions that ran through my head were “what are they doing” and “why me”. Of course, every abductee asks these very same questions. I decided that in some form or fashion this “relationship” needed to be reciprocal; after all they were obviously getting something from me, or using me for something, so I wanted something in return. It was at that point that I started trying to communicate with them directly, and as a result of dogmatic persistence (and I was almost manic about it) they abducted me and they let me remember most of the experience. It was like dropping an atomic bomb on my life. There was no way to deny it after that. This actually helped me to move forward with my life, and I started to keep a journal of my experiences. It was around that time that I began to look at past unexplained occurrences in my life, and there were many. Over several months I discovered they had been active in my life since I was five years old, and that they had saved my life at least eight times. It all boiled down to the fact that I would not be alive if it had not been for them. That made it a lot easier for me to adjust to the situation. Then my communication with them increased for a time, my conscious communication where they spoke to me directly, psychically, and I found it fascinating, even though it was always brief and only had to do with my own subjective concerns. I wish that I had even more of a connection with them, and I wish I could remember each time they visit me. The main purpose of communicating with me , for them, seems to be keeping me alive, and guiding me to advance spiritually.

PBR: Although I wasn’t the reviewer of your book, I did start reading it, and found that I could not put it down. It’s fascinating. You write in an open, honest fashion with details which, in my opinion, can only be known to someone, like yourself, who has gone through these experiences. For those reading this interview that have not read Chosen: Chronicles of an Alien Abductee, please tell us about your book.

BL: I started and stopped writing the book several different times because it caused me a lot of anxiety. Abductees have things affecting them that other humans do not have and one of these things is that the aliens “program” us, or give us hypnotic suggestions, not to talk about our experiences. It can actually cause a lot of anxiety to try to tell someone what is happening to us abductees, and especially to talk about it in front of a group, or to write a book about it. I had top work through that first and it was not an easy trip.

When I started on Chosen I decided I wanted it to be offered up in a different way. Many of the books on abductions are like a fiction books in the way they are written, like a novel, even though they are factual.

There are two basic divisions in the subject matter of the book. There are always two parts to abduction.   (1.) What happens or what is done to the abductee, and ( 2.) how the abductee feels about the experience, the emotions of the abductee, and later the way the person integrates it all into her or his life. I wanted the journal entries of the experiences to be basically factual; just what happened. I relied on my skills I learned while writing narratives of my investigations at Child Protective Services for the Journal entries. When I started talking about what I felt, what I thought about my experiences, I used a more literary voice which seemed to be better at conveying emotions and what I thought about the entire thing.

PBR: The age old question is, “Are we alone.” Obviously we are not, as the Universe is full of life, in many various forms. Are humans a hybrid of various alien manipulations?

BL: I do not really know if they created us, or altered us. There are so many things in the dark about whom and what we are. Our species has been around a lot longer than anyone can imagine, and we are ever uncovering information about our recent past that has been hidden from us. We are beginning to see our “real history” which has been covered up by a contrived history, to help keep us subjugated. Considering how much “junk DNA” we have, I think it is quit probable that we have been improved, or altered, by alien beings.

PBR: There certainly is no lack of media attention to the genre of aliens. I particularly like the series Ancient Aliens. Kindly tell us, in your opinion, what theories, books, authors and TV shows are right on track and which of those do you feel are fully off base?

BL: My favorite television miniseries is Taken, by Stephen Spielberg. I saw this in 2014 when I was visiting with a friend who is himself in the film industry. I told him I was an abductee, I told him about lots of my experiences, and he said I needed to see “Taken” and gave me the box set of DVD’s. It’s like Alien Abduction 101, if there were such a class in college. It really amazed me because it’s completely on the mark and in alignment with my experiences. It was like watching a movie about me. I have seen Ancient Aliens and I think it is completely on track. I do believe most of the shows on TV all have valid points. The part that irritates me is they all talk about aliens being “out there”, and “will they ever return”, things like that. Well, they are already here! They have been here for thousands of years. If you want to find aliens don’t worry about looking far out into space, they are in our back yard! I really don’t watch that many shows about aliens because my day is usually saturated with thinking about them, talking with people about them, and so in the evening I like to just try and forget they exist and watch something like Zombie movies, or comedies. My favorite alien movies are Close Encounters, Communion, The Fourth Kind (though it is really full of exaggeration and dramatization), War of the Worlds (but I do not think we will be invaded any more than we already have been), and both versions of “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and one of my very favorites, Childhoods End” even though it’s a TV miniseries, by Clark. I read the book a long time ago and loved it though I did not understand it as much as I do now.

PBR: How do you feel humanity will change once your information is truly understood by the population?

BL: A little over half of the people on the planet believe in UFO’s now. What will happen when the government discloses the truth is a pretty big subject. I think that suppression will still be going on. Suppression of “free energy devices” that are on the ship; and this information is being suppressed right now because we have two ships (or more), since the 40’s. Technology is being suppressed so that a small portion of humanity can harvest money from the rest of us. We could be living in a near utopia, or at least have free electricity for our homes, transportation, and all businesses big and small.

PBR: Ok, here’s the big question. Do you believe in God?

BL: Yes I believe in God, but I do not believe in church. Many people confuse those things. I am a Deist like the founding fathers of our country. I find that most churches as they exist today are entirely a “cult of personality”. Believe in someone, and they will save you. Complete dependence. I think that Jesus wanted people to believe in him so that they would follow his teachings. Now it seems people think they can be as mean and hateful to others as they want, and believing in Jesus is their “get out of hell free” card. I do not think there is a hell. It would not be an efficient thing for God to have to maintain. At the same time, I think we are not as important to God as we have been led to believe. This belief allows the money and power seeking people to rape the earth for their own gain. I do not think we are created in Gods image. I think to God, earth is important, like all suns and planets. I think we are like ants. I think what you really want to hear is this fact, they told me when I was about 9 that there is a God, but they did not mention any of the religions. They told me that God is everything and that everything is made by and of God. They told me there was nothing to fear, and this was right before my parents started making me go to church, where the preacher painted quit a different picture, at least as pertaining to the fear part.

PBR: What other books or projects are you currently working on?

BL: At the moment I am working on gathering empirical evidence about the marks and bruises they leave behind after a visit; measurements, my temperature, how I feel, and pictures of the marks. I was already taking pictures but I was not logging the rest of the information I just listed. A friend of mine who is a Biologist and a Physicist gave me the idea of measuring more accurately with a Caliper, and also of taking my temperature. Several days ago a woman told me on Face Book that she thought the picture of some punctures I had posted were from bedbugs. I told her the measurements (which I had listed with the pic but she obviously paid no attention to or didn’t even read) of the mark. It consisted of 3 punctures in a row, exactly 28mm apart, with the slightly larger puncture being exactly 14mm from both of the punctures on the ends. Dead center. Then there was a satellite puncture next to the two outer punctures, each 2mm from them. The center puncture also had a satellite puncture, but it was 3mm away from it. The three main punctures were in a perfect straight line which I measured with a ruler. No bedbug, or accident, would have been that precise. I am also working on a series of paintings of landscapes that just happen to have a UFO or two (or three) hovering in the sky. I want to write a book about my home, and one about consciousness, but the two ideas are busy gestating in my mind at the moment. We shall see if they develop.

PBR: We certainly wish you the best of success and hope to meet up with you again in the near future. Thank you again for your time today.

BL: Thank you Gary, I hope the same.
