About the Author

In 2006 at the age of 21, I had the misfortune to severely injury my lower back in an industrial accident. Following major surgery, future prospects of living a ‘normal life’ were grim and the idea of spending the rest of my life in a wheel chair was a daunting prospect. Today, ten years on with perseverance and a disciplined exercise regime, I am now fit and qualified with a black belt in Martial Arts. My involvement in this sport lead me to research and complete a Diploma in Remedial Massage. My attitude, ability and technique is respected by my peers. Whilst studying for my Diploma, I recognised the need to collate all relevant information for various sources into a single easy to read book. This publication is the end result and is submitted in good faith. It contains relative information and simplified muscle and trigger point illustration for all who wish to further their knowledge in the field of massage and pain management. I firmly believe if you have the knowledge and willpower, then you have an obligation to help those in need and I sincerely hope that the contents of this book expedites your success.
