About the Author
Widowed after fifty-two years of happy marriage, Winnie ordered her first computer two weeks after Jim’s death. She knew that she would be writing- something. A kind neighbor taught her the basics in computer skill. Soon she had a personal word of prophecy: You are a part of the Moses generation that I will use to bring the children out of the wilderness. The wilderness of this era is the change of thinking on the woman’s role and the impact that has had on family. With the reference to Moses, the Lord was indicating our author’s age. In 2015 at the age of eighty, Winnie published a small book of poems: The Poet’s Field. Her first book, Lou’s Boy was published in 2015. Two sequels followed: Morning For Lou and then, Lou’s Triumph. The central theme of all her books is the family. Education is significant in the earlier books. Winnie took a different twist with Missy. In this book she addresses the woman’s career. At this mature age, our author is very cognizant of the change of thinking, past to present, regarding the role of women.. Missy has a story to tell on that subject.
