A Father’s Love: Justice and Forgiveness by author Jean DeFreese Moore is a deeply spiritual Christian publication which flaunts resonant themes of loyalty, empathy, congruence, and dedication.
The narrative features Travis Britt and his children, a household whose accord seeks to motivate care and support for one another in families. The protagonist is one of Travis’s sons, Reid, an agent with the Department of Justice, whose vocation sets him on an undercover assignment, which threatens to cripple his new family and life, all-around.
Agent Reid finds himself lying on a cold floor with dried blood on his head. The atmosphere is tense with evil and oppression, and unfathomable pain engulfs every muscle and fiber in his body. Unable to focus and lift himself, Reid can only do what his father taught him to do at a young age – Pray! His mission had been near completion before he was brutally attacked, after discovering who had control of a notorious trafficking organization he had been investigating. He couldn’t wait to file a conclusive report at the Department of Justice and be reconciled with his new wife and son, but unknown to him his wife, Chipeta had left for her birthplace after suffering a horrific incursion that saw her lose their child.
Readers will feel Travis’s emotional nightmare and disarray after his daughter-in-law’s attack and separation from his two other sons, Travis and Luke, who have decided to put their lives in harm’s way as they travel to unfamiliar territories in search of their missing brother. However, as readers will come to discover, the family’s Faith in God stands unshakeable, as proved by their continued prayer and unceasing declaration of trust in God for safety throughout the strenuous moments.
Author Moore has incorporated inspiring scriptures that keep the both characters’ and readers’ faith and hope alive, throughout the chapters. One will not fail to notice the unimaginable conversations the characters have with the Spirit, through which esoteric advice, direction, and much-needed reassurances are given. The incredible ending is bound to leave indelible marks on its audience’s stance regarding the possession of absolute reliance on God.
Jean DeFreese Moore has delivered a fast-paced plot in her book A Father’s Love: Justice and Forgiveness. She will make you fall in love fast with Travis’s family, whose magnificent love for one another and selfless support for the helpless in society stand commendable and unbelievably infusing. Highly recommended!
