When the subject is important, the majority of writers tend to take a complex route in putting down their ideas and explaining them. However, the book we are reviewing today is in complete contrast to that. Escape from Utopeana by author J.B. Salazar explores several important themes including freedom, society, and economy in a language which is communicative and rather easy to understand. Well, that is about the writer’s approach, but if we talk about the content of the book, there are many more positive points we can talk about.
The new Utopeana rule in California has upended the life of Tobie de la Cruz in a way he didn’t expect. As the authority’s attention turns towards his property, he decides to escape from Utopeana and try to preserve what he believes to be his – including his freedom from outside Utopeana. There is a lot at stake. But the question is whether he will be able to succeed? Or will he succumb to the new change in the region? You got to read to find out.
If we talk about the writing, the author has done a fabulous job in making the reader gripping and keeping it straight to the point. The central idea behind the words keeps you glued until the last page – and the flow makes it all the more interesting to read. It’s structured well and not so long. In addition, the story highlights multiple situations which are sure to work as life lessons for many.
The book is for everyone who is big on reading. It is a bit unique in how it brings you closer to many good thoughts. There is a lot to like here. So, if you haven’t picked your next read yet, we recommend you give this one a shot. Escape from Utopeana is a breathtaking story that grabs you from the first page. J. B. Salazar builds a vivid world where perfection masks danger — and where one daring soul must risk everything for freedom. Salazar’s storytelling is fresh, and unforgettable. A must-read for fans of dystopian fiction!
