8 Minutes a Day to Make an A! is an insightful and educational book that will help many
children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and their parents. Pamela
Johnson has written a book that will help many students.

8 Minutes a Day to Make an A! provides a blueprint for kids with ADHD to succeed in
school. Johnson has ADHD herself and is a teacher, so she speaks from experience
about how to help students with ADHD. She has a StudyQuick System and binder with
divisions that she has used to help students focus on their homework. Since many
students with ADHD have issues with missing homework, there is a special section of
the binder devoted to homework planning and organizing their homework assignments.
There are other sections that help students easily organize their work. Even though
children with ADHD may seem like they can’t focus, Johnson maintains that they can
focus on their work once they’re engaged in an interesting way.

In addition to the three-ring binder that helps students organize their work, 8 Minutes a
Day also gives students tools to focus on their homework. Since children with ADHD are
easily distracted, Johnson advises parents on how to help them focus. Johnson
suggests that parents work with their children by using their visual memory to help them
with tasks they may struggle with, like writing or spelling. Johnson also recommends
giving students positive reinforcement and encouraging their children to continue their
progress.

8 Minutes a Day to Make an A! is an informative book that will empower students that
may be frustrated with their lack of progress in school. Johnson’s suggestions and
teaching methods work with the child’s gifts for creativity to help them succeed in a
school setting that may be too rigid and limiting to them. Johnson’s writing is so
relatable and easy to follow, parents will be able to implement her ideas to assist their
children with ADHD. Since Johnson is a teacher with years of experience teaching and
living with ADHD, she brings a unique perspective that shows she knows how to reach
students with the disorder.

8 Minutes a Day to Make an A! would be best for parents who have children with ADHD
or teachers who want to give extra help to students with the disorder. The book would
also be best for tutors who want to help empower students with ADHD. Johnson has
written a book that parents and teachers can use to empower students whose brains
work differently, but can still use their gifts to be successful.
