No matter how a person approaches life or how the world turns, there are few universal
truths that bound society as a whole together. One such universal truth is language, and
while there are many different languages, dialects, and meanings behind each
language, the concept of language and communication is a universal truth which
humanity cannot escape, no matter how far they go in life or evolve as a people.

In author Gerald-Johan Vanoise’s Sound-In-Form: Methodical Synesthesia, the author
explores language and the development of the word by showing a new process of
interpreting universal meanings of both consonants and vowels. The book is a means of
exploring the hidden natural language of the universe from which other languages have
been built, and how understanding this universal language could reveal hidden
meanings and truths found in scripts.

Anyone who enjoys the study of and interpretation of languages – both old and new – as
well as history and even hints of folklore, will absolutely be enthralled by this read. The
level of research, study, and repeated experimentation to find this formula and structure
to explore these hidden meanings was so intriguing and allowed the reader to delve into
a new subject with awe and wonder. The author spared no detail, allowing for an
educational look into a new way of looking at languages from all around the world and
the meanings behind vowels and consonants throughout history.

One way the author is able to achieve such a connection between the working theory
and the reader’s engagement is through the study of various cultures through their
language and folklore and the connections they share. In chapter 5 for instance, the
author connects the word VIE, which can connect to a 4th century Scandinavian VI
which means induction, to the French word VIE which means life and even connects to
a vi, which itself is a series of monuments that also hold an alter and allows the sunrise
to slowly illuminate the space over the course of a week. This example shows the
lengths the author can use this formula to connect the history of human language and
its meaning in both a scientific and in its own way, a spiritual way as well. The detail and
the way the work in this book expands the mind will stay with readers and have them
returning to the book time and time again. Sound-In-Form is a must-read for those
intrigued by the deeper mechanics of language and the ways in which meaning is
constructed across cultures.
