One of the biggest debates and questions for mankind in this current age is what the realities surrounding Climate Change really are. The debate over whether climate change is real or not, and if it is real what the true causes of climate change are, has been waged both in scientific communities and in politics for decades now, and yet the debate still rages on, with the division amongst these communities widening with each passing year.

It is in that divide that author Herbert A. Hutchinson hopes to find real solutions using existing and growing technology to combat both the true causes of climate change and the negative environmental health hazards mankind has caused in his book Dealing With The Real Climate Change. The book is a sequel to the previous book in the author’s bibliography, The Facts and Fallacies of Climate Change, and builds upon the findings of that book to use a mathematical prioritization technique to evaluate emerging and existing technologies which can be used to address the concerns the author has laid out for climate change, and to address these concerns before they do become a crisis.

What stood out immediately was the way the author presented the case for the truth behind climate change – not from a fanatical or conspiratorial way, but a calm and scientific based method, pouring over data and using mathematical equations to lay out his arguments and present his findings. The amount of research and data the author included for readers was straightforward and presented with honesty and thoughtfulness and backed it up with great source material and study results, including respected institutions such as the Smithsonian, was brilliantly presented.

Readers who enjoy scientific driven non-fiction readings, especially those that deal with climate change and environmental science as a whole, will be enthralled with this book and the author’s work overall. The emphasis the author puts on the impact regional climate changes can evolve and grow over time rather than global changes was thought provoking, and the detail in the presentation of mathematical equations for each point the author presented will speak to the more math and scientific minded readers out there as well, adding a more interactive and educational component to the book. The ideas and presentations for utilizing growing technology were also fascinating, especially with the debate regarding the use of AI and how AI may impact our environment around the world becoming so prevalent over the years. Dealing With The Real Climate Change challenges common assumptions, separates myth from reality, and offers a practical roadmap for individuals and communities to take meaningful action.
