Margaret Goh’s second poetry collection Inspired Poems to Inspire ignites the spirit with beautiful depictions of Biblical truth expressed through rhyme. A wonderful book for readers of all ages, Goh’s poetry overflows with her love for God’s truth. Her Biblical wisdom clearly shines through her poetry, which works to edify her readers as well.

Each of Goh’s poems explores various topics pertinent to the world we live in today while tying in rich truths from the Bible. She covers our responsibility for the natural world, original sin, salvation, and kindness. While she doesn’t quote the Bible directly, her original writing stays true to Biblical truths. After reading each poem, I felt my heart stirred and drawn closer to Jesus. This beautiful poetry not only enriches the reader’s understanding of Biblical knowledge but also works to teach others, especially children. Goh’s writing is remarkably aligned with Biblical teachings. This collection stands out as faithful to the Word of God, without any deviations – just pure truth.

While Goh’s poetry carries a distinct voice, her poems vary from one another and are a pleasure to read. Her rhymes and rhythms provide a delightful interpretation of God’s Word, evoking emotions and thoughts of the reader. Goh employs coherent and thoughtful diction, weaving direct Biblical references with her own creative voice.

Besides being full of love for God, Goh’s joy also radiates through her poetry. It is impossible to read these poems without a full heart and a big smile. Her benevolent kindness and love for strangers is palpable – so real it feels like a warm embrace wrapped in God’s Word. It’s truly divine. Many Christian authors may set out to achieve this type of ministry however Goh’s work stands out, especially in her application of Biblical knowledge.

Goh’s poem “Broken Hearts are Hard to Mend” stirred my soul with its exploration of meek spirits. This poem is uplifting for those discouraged by their meek spirits. As someone who struggles with pride and humility, I found Goh’s words to be a powerful reminder that our fleshly desires pale in comparison to what God has in store. She brings encouragement to those who need it most and reminds us of God’s enduring love. Any Christian reading this collection would feel compelled to shout “Amen!” This book would also serve as a great supplement for new believers or families learning about the Word of God. Goh’s work is truly an inspiration and a gift to anyone who takes the time to read it. Whether you’re seeking comfort, clarity, or a closer connection with God, this book is a gentle reminder that you are never alone.
