There is something to be said for examining historical and religious text to see how it correlates with current events and our lives world-wide. There are always connections and deeper meanings when it comes to history and faith and it’s critical we dive deep into the depths of it all to truly explore how it connects to us and the world as we now know it. In this book, we are focused solely on the Book of Daniel in the Bible. It’s imperative to the author and the reader to thoroughly examine the symbolism and meanings behind his story. As told by the author, it is a “compelling narrative” which seamlessly “intertwines prophecy, faith, and world history.” While reading this tale, we go back through Daniel’s journey, who was a young Hebrew who was captive in Babylon, but remained steadfast in his faith in God regardless of the trials and tribulations he faced in his life. I feel that this novel can reach a wide range of audiences, including those who are devout in their faith and those who appreciate religious and historical texts and enjoy pouring over them to understand them as wholly as possible in this day and age. I also believe that this kind of book is important for those who may be feeling lost and need a new perspective on how to have hope in dark times. Applying the lessons we learn from Daniel’s life can help those who are people of faith who need that hope and reassurance that all will be okay in the end if you focus on your relationship with God.

This is a wonderful read and incredibly interesting as well to focus on Daniel’s story and how it can apply to our own lives in modern times.
