Synopsis

When Thomas Applegate is cheated out of his marble collection he heads for the local junk shop where he's sure Mr Armitage the owner will have some marbles at a knockdown price. Little does he know that he's about to embark on an adventure of extraordinary proportions when he discovers a large marble that was hidden inside an old Chinese vase. The marble's magic takes him back in time to ancient China. Here Thomas must use all of his wits to save and help mysterious magician Wing Ling who has been trapped in the marble for a thousand years.

About the Author

David Hall was born in 1948 in Farnham Surrey England. One of 5 children. He has always been interested in writing he takes his credit from his mother Olive who used to write poems, and recite audio tape stories that she had made up. David is married with five children and lives with his second wife Melanie and two of his sons.

Over the years he has written short stories and newspaper articles and treatments. He enjoys script writing and would love to see one of his stories turned into a film. Thomas and the Magic Marble is his first big project and he decided to self publish his book in collaboration with Mary Humphrey the Illustrator. David is a working Author and runs a successful Electrical business in the UK. On his retirement he would like to write full time and write a Thomas sequel.
