Synopsis

The Cyfarwydd is a traditional Welsh storyteller who has had a spout of bad luck. After he is forced to evade the law in Saxony, he meets a friendly Saxon bard who chronicles Loki the magician’s fall from Asgarth in a continuous rhyming epic. As the Cyfarwydd continues in his travels far away from home, he introduces the Saxons to his own flippant style, first with an absurd tale about a beer thieving gnome that includes the traditional folk tune John Barleycorn, and then with a saucy elaboration of a favored tale from the Mabinogion. But as he continues on his journey, no one knows that the ornery bard’s tale is far from over. The Naughty Cyfarwydd and the Windows of Igg bring the world of a medieval bard to life in an entertaining way as he journeys far away from home and encounters a variety of eclectic characters.
