No matter where you are currently in your love life, all of us are bound to have stories — or misadventures if you’d rather — in our dating history which show what we are willing to do or put up with in the name of love. These stories also help shape us into the individuals we inevitably become; whether that’s good, bad, or ugly. But more than anything, it teaches us what we should and should not look for in a partner while simultaneously hopefully teaching us how to value ourselves and find our own self-worth. We explore all of that and so much more in DisHarmony: A Jigsaw Collection Of Misguided Dating by author Rachel Kovach.

In this book, Kovach has assembled different poems, short stories, and other art pieces to demonstrate the highs and lows of her dating history. Not only are these creative ways to illustrate what it is truly like to date in the modern world as a woman, but they are done so in a funny and captivating way. Each page is compelling and will easily be relatable to any single woman in this modern dating era, no matter what age they are. You are bound to find a part of yourself in the pages of this book and I say that from my own experience.

I personally felt this was an incredibly heartwarming take on dating culture in the present-day while also giving a lot of wisdom to other women dealing with similar situations in their dating experiences. The truth of the matter is, most, if not all of us, have been in the author’s shoes at one point or another in our lives. This makes this book so relatable that you’ll laugh, cry, and then laugh again, all while you find yourself evaluating how much you value yourself. And whether or not you feel like you’ve ever been at a point where you think you should just “settle” for whoever comes along rather than waiting for the ever-elusive and sought-after “The One.”

Aside from the well-written and humorous nature of this author’s book detailing the awkward experiences of modern dating, there is a deeper importance to this book within its pages. The message is to not settle, to not give up hope on finding your person, but also to not forget to build yourself and your self-worth up no matter what. How could you not get on board with a message like that? For women everywhere who have been there, done that, and then started again when it comes to dating, pick up your copy of DisHarmony: A Jigsaw Collection Of Misguided Dating by Rachel Kovach today!
