The Gospel and the Eternal Sin is an excellent book for readers who are looking for spiritual nourishment, salvation and living a righteous life. The author fuses relevant Bible verses in between the lines for the reader to better understand the subject being discussed. I enjoyed reading about the importance of baptism by immersion in water and the author clearly highlights various reasons why believers should be baptized. Christians should live in the spirit and follow the commandments of God. By being baptized, you get purified and feel new in the soul. Kevin Berry’s words are touching and one can feel the effect of the actions he suggests Christians partake in.
Kevin Sparks Berry engages with the reader from the start. I like the introduction part of the book as the author lets us into his personal life. He gives us a little background about his parents and his life while attending memorial United Methodist Church in Framington, and other churches. You can tell that the author is a curious soul. His quest to learn more about Christ is inspiring, as Kevin Berry put his heart in his writing and openly discussed issues that not many are familiar with. Reading this book is akin to taking the word of God, as all the author writes about is deliverance, purity and the love of God. The author extensively writes about Agape love and how to be close to God. I appreciate the brevity of the sentences in the book as they make the reading experience easy. Every page has distinct verses shared that would help the reader. While reading, you feel as if you are included in a virtual Bible study, where you learn and interact with other like-minded people. Faith is a crucial part of a believer’s life and readers gets enlightened on having faith in the gospel. Jesus brought salvation for sinners and the author widely writes about the body of Jesus and what is expected of those who believe in him. Kevin Berry’s words are warm and make one feel as if they belong. The reader is reminded that God will seek out each of his sheep and deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered.
The best thing about The Gospel and the Eternal Sin is that the author was candid in his writing. You do not need to re-read the sentences to comprehend the message as everything is clearly articulated. The major take in the book is that the single and crucial faith is the faith in the Gospel that Jesus spread. Baptism has also been vastly discussed as readers are reminded repeatedly to embrace baptism by immersion in water as it is the most recommended form of cleansing.
The Church is an important entity and should be recognized and loved by all. You can feel the love of God just by reading Kevin Sparks Berry’s book.
