God Gives You Goosebumps is an electrifying book to read because the author talks about God’s love in a different way. Gwendolyn Davis compiled a list of poems that tell the reader of God as a savior and what he has done for his people. I like the style used by the author in the book. The poems are short and easy to read, and the lines in each poem show how great God is. Through the text in the book, one can tell how much of a believer Gwendolyn Davis is. The words the author writes are beautiful, encouraging, and will pull every reader to salvation. One thing I liked about Gwendolyn Davis is that

the author is easy with the pen. The author could write a simple line, one with five words or less, but the impact that line will have on the reader would be massive. Religious poetry never sounded so good.

While enjoying every poem, the reader also gets to learn about God’s teachings and how to navigate the challenges life offers. God Gives You Goosebumps will give you goose bumps as you flip one page to the next. One of the most notable features in the book is the author’s punch lines used in every poem. There will always be that one line which stands out in every poem. It may not necessarily be the last line, but the reader gets to have a special line in every stanza. The words used in the book are easy to master and the phrases simple. This is a book that can be enjoyed by both children and adults. Gwendolyn Davis knows how to balance the vocabulary in the book in a way one gets to learn of new words and phrases without feeling as if the poems are getting complicated.

God Gives You Goosebumps is an incredible book because every poem sounds like a continuing story. The arrangement of the text, choice of words, and the intended lessons at the end of every page make Gwendolyn Davis a great author. One of the major lessons I learned in the book is that God does not give up on his people. He may take a while to respond to your needs, but that does not mean he has forgotten about you. The author reminds believers to be kind, patient and loving. There is nothing greater in this world than love. Love your God and the people that you live with.

Another amazing lesson that the author shares is having faith. Do not give up. Remember to pray and focus on your goals. You will eventually achieve your targets if you are fully focused. This book, like many other religious books, talks about God’s love and promises and teaches how to be a good Christian. There are things, however, which stand out in the book, making it more exciting to read. The title of the poems, delivery of the message, life tips and tone that the author used are some of the elements, which make Gwendolyn Davis’s work outstanding.
