Our Condo on Wheels is a wonderfully adventurous ode written by Diane Lenamon. For Diane, early retirement had never crossed her mind, but when she meets her husband Maurice on a plane, little does she know that an adventure of a lifetime is just around the corner. A short trip for them to Boerne, Texas to look at motorhomes stirs a desire in her to travel.

She finally retires from her six-year job and embarks on a six-month journey with her husband on a motor coach. In this travelogue, she has journalized their various travel and sightseeing experiences across the US, Canada, and Quebec. This book is a collection of personal travel tales and includes experiences which range from fun to romantic while covering diverse themes such as family, cuisines, religion, and history.

This tapestry is well-written and moves you to the place itself making you live empathetically through the writer. More importantly, you get a more personal and in-depth view of the cities and towns you always dreamt of visiting. Words like “Later in the day we went riding over to a beautiful area that was full of maple leaves and hills. The hill country is so magnificent, especially in the fall with all the colors of flowers and trees.” provide vivid descriptions and imagery intricately capturing the scenery and vibrancy.

Each single line in this narrated motion picture runs true and more amplified than any elaborate prose could, creating a well-layered and tightly braided image that slakes the armchair traveler’s curiosity and appetite. Some descriptions are meant to get the reader to smile, to inform and reflect, while others are meant to quench the urge to travel. That Diane, the author of this book could share his indelible eyewitness account and experiences in such a riveting manner, is a gain in itself.

Altogether, Our Condo on Wheels, by Diane Lenamon, is a worthy page-turner written with much gusto and enthusiasm that avid travelers will revere and enjoy poring over.
